Awakening’s first event was conceived as a literary picnic — an intimate gathering built around Ukrainian books, shared reading, conversation and human connection.
This first gathering expressed the idea at the heart of Awakening: culture can create an atmosphere in which people listen, exchange and rediscover a sense of connection.
Guests were invited to bring favourite books by Ukrainian authors — prose or poetry — and explore their words together in the park.
