Who we are
Culture as a place to return to — and begin again.
Awakening is a cultural non-profit organisation founded in Brussels in June 2024.
Our perspective
Rooted in Ukraine. Open to the world.
Awakening grew from a shared belief that art is not only something we observe: it can help us reconnect with ourselves, preserve cultural memory and build relationships across borders.
Our programme brings together visual art, literature, cinema, conversation and participatory experiences. We are rooted in Ukrainian culture while remaining open to dialogue with Belgium, Europe and the wider world.
